Rural Training Program

Project Name: Rural Training Program
Project Description:

Drishtee has taken up a training assignment to train more than 10,000 Below Poverty Line candidates. Such a training program would be conducted at the village level to facilitate the participation of weaker sections especially women.

Designation: Training Intern

Reporting Manager: Sales Co-ordinator (Drishtee Divisional Office)

Duration:
Minimum: 3mnths Maximum:6mths

Total Requirement : 150

Immediate Requirement:10

Location: Western U.P ( Mathura, Hathra) Or Eastern Rajasthan( Bharatpur)

Compensation:
None

Cost Covered: Accomodation, Travel related to work, Food

Hiring Manager: Division Commander, Training

Process of Enrollment: Simple exchange of letter. No agreement.

Minimum Qualifications: Senior Secondary

KRAs of Training Intern :
He or she will be a Trainer,Facilitator and Mentor
Be a trainer to a group of nearly 40-50 poor candidates in generic soft skills such as effective communication/personality/grooming/basic accounts etc

Be a facilitator for a batch of nearly 60-80 candidates for a specialised vocational training such as Masonry/Security Guards/Small Scale production etc.

Be a mentor to Drishtee's entrepreneurs in the same Panchayat.
Resource person for the assigned Panchayat.

Q1)Who is my reporting manager?Mentor?Trainer?


All Village Volunteers would report to the Divisional Commander, Training at Mathura/Hathras/Bharatpur.

They would be trained at Mathura by the Territory Commander/Drishtee's top Management

The mentor for each one of them would be the Territory Commander/Top Drishtee management.


Q2) Where will I be based?What is the address, name of the contact person with contact details.


You would be based in a Home in one of the villages in M/H/B. The address would be provided after joining but before the Village stay.



Q3) Who will be training us and for how long?Is the training material in Hindi or English?


They would be trained at Mathura by the Territory Commander/Drishtee's top Management. The training would be conducted in Hindi and/or English as per need.


Q4) Any resources that the intern should read prior to joining?


Nothing specific. They need to come with an open mind and a passionate heart.


Q5) Any check list of items?


Mosquito nets, fresh quilt and a sleeping bag would be handy.


Q6) What kind of clothes should I carry?


Informal (keep in mind the temperature, location and most importantly the target audience)


Q7) Do I need to submit any papers on site location?


Depends on Nationality. If Indian -Refer to the joining letter

If Foriengner-Passport mandatory & refer to the joining letter.


Q8) What kind accommodation and food will be catered for?


Mostly vegetarian, village food such as rice, pulse, roti and fresh vegetables.


Q9)What age group of villagers am I to train?


18-35 years.


Q10)What happens if I need medical aid during my intership period? Does Drishtee cover any medical costs while I am serving on site?


You would need to inform your reporting head immediately.


Q11)Any other terms & conditions prior to hiring?


Volunteers are expected to respect village community and strive to be a part of them at least for the duration of the program.


Q12)Any specific provisions esp (accomodation)for female interns?


Same as male members


Q13)What are my working hours?


It would depend upon the batch timing most conducive to the villagers.


Q14)What is the value add for me if I work for a)three months b)six months c)one year?


Apart from relationship, there could be placement opportunities. But no commitment.


Q15)Do I receive any certificate/honorium for contributing?


YES, a certificate of contribution from Drishtee.


Q16) How will my work be utilized?


Your work would be utilised by the villagers to find employment.


Q17) Who else will I be working with?


Other interns and local Drishtee team including franchisees


Q18) Will I get any updates in form of newsletter etc after completion on the project?


Good suggestion. We will work towards it.


Q19) What are companies policy and procedures.


Interns would be working for the Foundation which is a Not-For-Profit which has general admin instructions which can be shared at the time of joining.


Q20) What are my deliverables?What is expected from me ?


The deliverable is to keep the flock of poor trainees together and impart them soft skills, essential to get quality jobs.



Q21)What is the objective of the organization/project?


To make marginalized communities efficient, self-sufficient and equitable.


Q 22) The Training Intern will not be paid during the training process, however will we be paid once we start serving?

The training internship is unfortunately unpaid overall as it is targeted towards those who consider spending time in the village as a valuable learning for the future.


Q 23) When is the training programe starting?


There would be different batches starting every 15-20 days. the first such batch is starting by the mid-of february.


Q 22) The travel cost from and to the training venue and home town will be taken care by Drishtee?


Drishtee would only cover the transportation cost within the village and in closer vicinity. home town and back travel costs would not be covered.


Q 23) Is this project only focused on Mathura and Hathras? Or is it gonna be taken to other parts of India as well?


Presently it is only mathura, hathras and bharatpur.
